After entering all the data, reporting is the next thing you will want to do.
Reporting in Declare is straightforward; what you see onscreen is what is reported/printed.
| You can preview the report
using the 'File | Print preview' menu option. Before that though, select
what you want to see in the report:
- Select the group you want to display; either select 'All' in the tree
view on the left to show all declarations (probably only useful for
your own insight), or select a client or even a single project from
a client to narrow down your declaration view.
- Select 'Filter | Show all' if you want a list of
all tasks, or 'Filter | Show only financially relevant'
to leave out declarations that are already billed or are not billable.
This leaves you with declarations you still need to bill the client.
- Optionally select a resource from the toolbar if desired (see the
image to the right); this will show only the declarations that apply
to the selected resource.
- Optionally select 'File | Print Setup' to select
a printer to print to.

After selecting the properties of your
report, select 'File | Print Preview' to preview what the report
will look like. If all looks ok, click the 'Print' button in the preview screen.
You can alternative output the report to either text, CSV (comma-separated)
or HTML. Choose File | Export | Export... to select your format
of choice. The output file can be used to include with your bill to your client.
